About Classic Journeys

Classic Journeys is a collection of extraordinary and unusual itineraries designed to give travellers a sense of in-depth discovery. Perfect for discerning travellers with time on their side, there are 27 unique tours to choose from.

Well-planned tours

Our comprehensive tours have been carefully planned to balance busy days of excursions with quieter days at leisure, and all are escorted by an expert tour manager who has been specially trained and has an intimate knowledge of the places you visit. All our itineraries include the ‘must-see’ places in the area you are touring so they won’t be charged as optional extras.

Unlike many tour operators our tours are designed with British holidaymakers in mind and our coaches are exclusively for Spirit of Adventure customers. We also name all accommodation throughout your tour. We include breakfast to set you up for the day ahead along with a selection of other meals, or when there is a choice of restaurants nearby we leave you free to dine out locally.

So that you fully enjoy our tours we don’t allow smoking on the coaches, and our seat rotation policy ensures that everyone gets to enjoy the views.

Q ratings

All accommodation is awarded a ‘Q’ rating to give you a clearer picture of the quality, as accommodation grading systems vary from country to country and can be confusing. Our ratings are reviewed regularly and range from 5Q for our finest quality hotels to 1Q for more basic, good value accommodation.

When grading our hotels, the variety of food, standards of bedrooms and public rooms and the range of facilities are all taken into consideration.

Knowledgable staff

All of our Classic Journeys include the services of an experienced tour manager who will meet you on arrival and travel with you throughout to make sure your journey runs smoothly from start to finish.

Make more of your adventure

You may like to fly out early or stay a little longer after your Classic Journey to explore more of the region or simply relax. Extensions are available to many itineraries and make the perfect complement to your main tour. Please note, these are not accompanied by a tour manager.
